Offered as a 1 hour online eLearning, this course teaches the foundational concepts of Physical Literacy, identifies the key elements of a supportive physical literacy environment and also the role it plays in helping someone become Active for Life.
Upon completion of the course you will be able to:
- Explain the concept of physical literacy and describe the relationship between physical literacy, physical activity, and physical fitness
- Identify motor skill (or movement) development in childhood and the approximate age to expect adult proficiency
- Describe the relationship between the development of movement competence, confidence, and motivation, in support of physical literacy development
- Identify the key elements required to create a supportive physical literacy environment that is accessible and inclusive for all
Once completed you will receive a certificate of completion and obtain professional development points with the National Coaching Certification Program.
