Physical Literacy for Schools

Physical Literacy for schools is an initiative that is designed to assist school communities in addressing and creating a physical literate school community.

The development of physical literacy is an important component in the healthy growth and development of children and youth. Fostering the development of fundamental movement skills, building active social connectedness where children and youth have the motivation to participate and chose physical activity over sedentary behaviours, and identifying physical environments that support improving the health and learning outcomes of students in Greater Sudbury will all work toward developing physically literate students .
